We are packing up for a two week trip back to NY to see the Grandparents and cousins. Even though the new house is in chaos and I'd like nothing better than to spend the night sorting through the garage, it's time to finish packing and rest up for the big trip. Maddy and Dani both learned to ride their bikes this week so they're looking forward to riding out at Gaga's house. It will be an uncomfortable treat to be in the broiling NY heat but we are all ready and will feel relieved to experience a bit of summer!! Here's what we did this week:
Playdate at Violet's:
Exploratorium
Tree climbing at Palace of Fine Arts:
Rolling down hills at Conservatory of Music
Facepainting at camp
Rossi park with Stella
Riding our bikes!
Omitted photos of Tiffanie dancing at the Elbo room Tuesday night, too risque!

Now we are 6
I promised myself I would write every week now so it's almost 10 days and time to write. The last week has been very stressful but the girls have taken it in stride. We've moved, again, and they are adjusting to living amongst the boxes quite nicely. They've spent a few wonderful camp days at Steve and Kates where Dani has been knitting hats and scarves and they've both used a sewing machine! We also took a trip up to Terra Linda for the pool and a small water park which was tons of fun. Still working on getting the kids swimming but hopefully it will click for them soon. Finally starting to document their lives
I've been planning to do this for 6 years now. I never really made baby books- half assed attempts led to books where I confused who ate which food first, got the first tooth and had the first smile. There were so many cute, funny moments, especially in the past three years that I just let slip away, hoping I'd eventually put them on paper. So, even though I’m late to the blogging game, I’m giving it a shot so that I can satisfy my somewhat declining memory.
The girls, Maddy and Dani, my twins. They are the reason for the declining memory but I wouldn't change it for anything. When I was carrying them we called them the usual- peanuts, baby a and baby b but for some reason noodles was what Ken liked to call Maddy and beans for Dani. I couldn't think of a better title so that might change eventually but for now it's staying. There's nothing so fascinating that would make this a must read blog but hopefully this will also help for the grandparents to get a glimpse of what's happening out here in California.
